The Price of Knowledge!
The villagers believed that Hojja possessed some rare knowledge and skills.
Once, four intellectual philosophers were passing through that land. They were fond of intellectual question-and-answer sessions, philosophies, debates, and logic.
When they passed by, the locals suggested that it would be good for them to meet Hojja.
So, the four of them reached Hojja's house and said, "We are seekers of truth. We wish to know the ultimate truths from you."
Immediately, Hojja replied, "I agree. But each one of you must pay 50 silver coins for my answer."
They were shocked and said, "50 coins is a very high fee for our question. Why are you asking for such an amount?"
Hojja promptly responded, "Rare knowledge commands a high price. For instance, isn't the diamond in the King's crown worth a thousand gold coins because it is rare?"
They turned and walked away without giving any reply.
