The problems of crow!
Once upon a time, the eastern side of Silbaripuram was a dense forest. However, the western side was a town filled with houses and people.
One day, while a crow was searching for food in the forest, a rival spotted cuckoo mocked him.
"You only eat rotten and dirty food from the garbage. I only eat fruits. Look at how beautiful my feathers are. Your black appearance is ugly!"
This hurt the crow deeply. He decided to ask other birds for their opinion. When he asked the sandpiper, it replied:
"I am beautiful enough. But because of my heavy body, I have to walk on the ground to hunt for food, and I live in fear of being attacked by monitor lizards and humans. You don't have these problems."
He then saw a heron, which was more beautiful. It said: "My beautiful white feathers are a threat to my life. Humans can aim from very far away and shoot me down with a slingshot. No one will hunt you."
When he saw the sparrow, it said: "If I build a beautiful nest and lay eggs, humans will take the nest away and use it as a decoration on their porches, destroying the eggs. You don't have this problem."
He approached the parrot, which said: "To stop us from eating paddy and beans, humans put up nets to catch us. Many of us end up in cages on house porches. No one will ever cage you."
After hearing all this, the crow still didn't have complete peace of mind. He thought that the opinion of the most beautiful bird, the peacock, would be the most valuable.
When he told the peacock everything, the peacock grumbled: "So many birds have told him, and he still hasn't understood. He must see it to believe it."
Then, the peacock said to the crow: "Let's fly to the town to see my friend, the peacock."
They flew to a tree in a zoo. The peacock showed the crow a peacock in a cage below and said: "Go ahead and tell my friend about your worries."
After hearing the crow's troubles, the peacock in the cage said: "My beauty is what brought me to this hellish life in the zoo. People look at me and praise my beauty in amazement and then leave. But what good is that to me? It's not about colour. The forest goddess has given you the freedom to travel the forest as you please. Go and live happily."
Moral: It is not right to be distressed just because someone says something. Remember that even those who appear to shine on the outside have their own problems, even if we don't see them.
