How does respect save your life?
Once upon a time, in England, there was a story that happened. There was a very busy supermarket over there. As part of the supermarket, a big cold storage was functioning. In that cold storage, right in front, a security guard used to always stand.
When the staff used to come inside in their cars, and when the customers used to come to the shop, he would welcome everyone. But nobody would even smile back. However, the young woman who was the manager of the freezer unit, whenever she came inside in her car, and also when she went back after work, she used to respectfully smile.
One day, this young woman, after closing the door at the end of the freezer unit and leaving, noticed some issues while working. Even though she thought she could fix it, without telling anyone else, she kept doing various things there. It became evening.
But finally, when it was time to leave, the automatic sensor door got locked in a way that it couldn't be opened. She screamed very loudly, but nobody heard. Moreover, due to the fault in the freezer unit, its cooling couldn't be reduced. Soon, she fell unconscious there.
That evening, the security guard realised that this young woman's car hadn't gone out.
He felt that there was some danger, so he ran inside. He opened the freezer unit from the outside. Immediately, the young woman was taken to the hospital. That life was saved in this way.

When others ignored the security guard, that working woman used to behave respectfully towards him. That is why he remembered that the young woman hadn't gone back in her car after work.
