The fate of a Golden friendship!

 In the Silbaripuram region, there was an ancestral home that kept many pets. Among them, a cat and a dog were very close friends. It was their habit to share whatever food they received.

One day, as the cat lay down to sleep, a thought struck him: "The master loves this dog more than me. My importance in this house is fading. If things continue like this, I might even be kicked out soon."

That night, after much plotting, he made a decision—he had to trap the dog in some mischief so that he would face the master’s wrath.

At daybreak, the master left for the market. He usually returned in the afternoon and sat down for lunch immediately. The cat planned his move to coincide with the master's return.

At that time, the dog was fast asleep on the veranda; his main job, after all, was guarding the house all night. Seizing the opportunity, the cat lurked in the kitchen, watching everything closely.

The cat noticed a bowl of meat curry served for the master’s lunch. Seeing the master walking up the path toward the house, the cat stealthily grabbed the bowl with his teeth and emptied it right onto the sleeping dog’s face!

Startled, the dog woke up. However, he didn't try to eat the meat because he had already been fed his lunch earlier. Even so, the master walked onto the veranda just as the dog began licking the curry off his face and fur.

Fuming with rage, the master grabbed a stick and beat the dog, shouting, "Don't ever let me see you in this house again! Go away and get lost!"

Whimpering, the dog left the premises. In the days that followed, the cat became the master's sole pet, basking in all his affection.

Moral: Even the most golden friendships can be betrayed at any time. One should not be suspicious of friends, but one must always remain vigilant.
