The capseller!

Once upon a time, a traveler arrived in the land of Silbaripuram. He was a capseller by profession. His bag was filled with numerous caps of various sizes and vibrant colours.

To attract customers, he always wore one beautiful cap on his own head as he walked through the town selling his wares. One day, exhausted from walking, he sat down under the shade of a large tree to rest. Due to his fatigue, he soon fell into a deep sleep, still wearing the cap on his head.

A troop of monkeys living in the nearby trees spotted him. When the monkeys looked down, they saw the man sleeping soundly with a cap on his head.

True to their mischievous nature, the monkeys decided to play a prank. Finding the caps curious, they reached into his bag, grabbed them one by one, and climbed up to the high branches of the tree. Following the lead of the first few, the entire troop emptied the bag and retreated to the treetops.

Sitting safely on the branches, they began making loud noises and playing with the colourful caps.

Startled by the commotion, the traveler woke up only to find his bag completely empty. To his shock, his caps were now in the hands of the monkeys!

He thought for a moment. He knew he couldn't chase the monkeys to get his caps back, nor could he climb such a massive tree. Suddenly, he looked at one of the monkeys and threw his own cap onto the ground!

Seeing this, all the monkeys mimicked him and threw their caps down at the traveler! He quickly gathered the caps, stuffed them back into his bag, and hurried away from the spot.

Moral of the Story

Do not view this act merely as the playfulness of monkeys. There are many humans who behave in the same way. People who accumulate wealth through cheating and corruption eventually have to "throw it all away" and leave this world empty-handed at the time of death.
