The story of a coconut tree!

Long ago, in a place called Silbaripuram, there lived a good-hearted farmer named Shankunni. He led a very simple life, and because of his modest habits, his living expenses were quite low.

His main source of income came from his coconut grove. The grove was filled with high-yielding varieties that produced excellent quality coconuts.

One day, he thought to himself, "My farm has the best quality coconut trees in this entire locality. These coconuts are top-notch. I can use them, sell them, or even grow saplings from them to make more money."

With a generous heart, Shankunni decided that he would give away all the coconuts that fell from the tree near the roadside to the local people for free.

He wrote a notice on a wooden board and tied it to the tree with a rope: "Anyone can take the coconuts that fall from this tree."

The first person who saw the sign wrinkled his forehead in suspicion and muttered, "There must be some catch here."

Others who passed by also looked at the tree with doubt and didn't touch the coconuts. People started whispering all sorts of things:

"The coconuts must be rotten."

"This is just a trick to become a local big shot."

"He’s probably planning to ask the villagers for some huge favor later."

"If we eat these coconuts, some strange disease might spread among the people."

As these rumors spread secretly among the villagers, Shankunni got frustrated because no one was taking the fallen coconuts. The very next day, he ripped off the wooden board and threw it away.

Instead, he gathered all the coconuts in a basket, took them to the local market, and intentionally sold them at an extremely high price! Strangely, the villagers bought them all up eagerly, as if they were doing something great!

Moral of the Story:

Those who only look for faults and suspect everything lose the ability to recognize the value of a good deed.
